Hell I'm not going to try and make people like or hate Xion, personally I'm fairly neutral on it because I find her non-intrusive but her personality type isn't my thing (AKA:I'd hit Namine so hard the person who pulls me out will be crowned the next king/queen of England, Xion and Kairi do nothing for me.)
There is some logic to Xion's existence.

If I see one more rant going 'Xion is a shitty Mary Sue but she might be redeemed if: (insert random event/fact/thing THAT OCCURS/IS REVEALED/IS IN-GAME)' murder will be necessary. The lists that go on about 'her offences' which are entirely full of things Roxas did can line up to be pithed.
Is it really that hard to come up with something to complain about that doesn't a)make you look like an idiot, b)make you look like a misogynistic douchebag, or c)make you look like a hyper defensive AkuRoku fan?

_{to the actual hyper defensive AkuRoku fans, the arguments I've seen so far are just weakening your pairing; one, all the scenes of the three of them together I've seen so far are so full of exploitable Axel/Roxas subtext that Xion's presence underlines, I as a person who finds this VERY MUCH NOT THEIR CUP OF TEA, am seeing it; and two, if the mere idea of being in the very vicinity of a girl threatens your ship doesn't that heavily imply your ship has no basis at all or is so very weak you need to grasp at straws?}


So far this game has been AWESOME.
Game play is a repetitive but oh well, I've been playing FF since FF7 I DON'T GET TO COMPLAIN ABOUT REPETITIVENESS WITH MY OCD GAME PLAY HABITS.
THE VEXEN MISSION WAS NOT ONLY EPIC AND LULZY, MY VEXEN FANGIRL IS RENEWED AND SPAZZY AND I CAN ALMOST FORGET MOST OF THE 411 FANDOM IS SHIT.

EDIT: The ultimania timeline is retarded, so far saying Vexen dies within the first two days Sora was there, Vexen only just arriving three days before to boot and after Vexen's death it takes Sora another 23 days to get to Marluxia. WTF first of all, and second WOW NAMINE WAS REALLY SLACKING OFF, third WTFWTFWTF. If I remember correctly Vexen's death was mid-late game, how did Sora get that lost? given that he could cover half or more of the castle in two days and then take that long to do the rest.
If anything it does kind of makes me want to poke at the conspiracy theory version some more and so a death only seemed to occur early making this timeline seem less strange. _{though the timeline does say quite a bit about Vexen's working speed... excluding suggestions of a TARDIS being involved.}
